Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Castro Valley, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/21/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Nursery/Post-Partum Level III RN - Required Certifications: CA RN License BLS NRP Experience: - 2+ years RN Nursery Experience, in Level II or Level III NICU - 6 months to 1 year experience Mother/Baby Couplet care or Post-partum - Experience attending delivers and with neonatal resuscitation - Travel experience - 6 months Education: BSN Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend On-Call: As Needed Duties: -Assesses patient's conditions, develops individual care plans for patients, and evaluates the effectiveness of the care plan. -Coordinates the delivery of patient care for a group of patients; directs and delegates patient care assignment to colleagues through collaboration. -Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. -Maintains documentation in the patient record. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital and nursing standards. -Participates in continuous quality improvement activities. -Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. -Demonstrates sensitivity to patient's comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress.
