YesPatient medical diagnosis except primary Cardiac could be seen on this unit. Unit will monitor patients on Telemetry (Med-Tele)Common diagnoses include but are not limited to: Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues and illnesses Flu/PNA/COVID, GI Bleed, Renal Failure (AKI/CKD), Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fracturesNon-surgical unitPatient Ratios:RN: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:5-6May vary based on patient acuity, tech support, insulin drips within assignment, etc.CNA: Days 1:10; Nights 1:10Rarely, due to call-in, nurses may have total care of some less acute patients within their assignments Required (preferred)EKG interpretation/ACLS (preferred)CNA: BLSSkills charge experience highly preferred, please include if the traveler has charge experience in offer details and is willing to act as chargeCardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), Insulin drips, Heparin drips - training available from charge and educator does not require manager approval to offer but will be noted in the offer email for CRT if traveler has not doneReading/Interpreting Rhythm strips please decline if they are not comfortable with thisTrach care, Chest tube management, General Medical Surgical skills (wound care, IVABX, Drain/tube management, IV starts, central line management, etc.) in obtaining vital signsShowering and bathing patientsAmbulationProgression of functional status i.e. getting patients directly to bathroom v. bedside commodesQ 2 hour turningGood communication skills and teamworkSupport on the nurse - will typically not have a patient assignmentPhlebotomy?
