**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical - Oncology **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Flexible contracts available (36 or 48 hours) **Experience:** Minimum 1 year required; 2 years preferred in Med/Surg **License:** Michigan RN License (pending license acceptable, must provide estimated time of arrival) **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (AHA) - pending acceptable if willing to obtain **Must-Have:** - Minimum 1-year experience in Med/Surg - Willingness to work with a variety of staff (e.g., RN, LPN, Techs) - Availability for the entire week of orientation **Job Description:** - Attend 8 hours of non-billable orientation. - Will float to other Med/Surg units depending on hospital needs. - Work every other weekend. - Cannot guarantee block scheduling. - Staffing ratio is typically 1:5-6 for nights. May flex to 8 patients, with LPN support if needed. - Work with various patient types including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patients (GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies). - Floating to different units may occur approximately once per week. - Holidays are usually required, and holiday time-off requests may not be guaranteed. - Flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions only. - Modules must be completed during orientation and then annually. Ensure to complete any necessary lab work within 48-72 hours of contract signing. If opting for flu vaccine exemption, submit within 48 hours of contract signing.
