**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** NICU **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Facility may call off once per two-week pay period **Experience:** 2 years of experience preferred; first-timers accepted **License:** Valid CA License required **Certifications:** Required - BCLS, NRP; Preferred - STABLE **Must-Have:** Willingness to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) **Job Description:** - Work as a registered nurse specializing in the NICU. - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. - Complete a 24-hour orientation before starting the role. - Float between like units as needed; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. - Comply with a radius rule of 50 miles for non-local candidates. - Meet grooming and appearance standards; wear any solid color scrubs, typically Royal Blue or Navy. - Utilize Epic for charting. - Supply at least two supervisory references covering one year in the last three years within a comparable specialty or setting. - Engage in non-billable modules, including pre-start and annual training, averaging 16 hours. - If necessary, the facility will provide or compensate for communication devices needed for job performance. - Prepare personal housing arrangements as housing options may be limited in the area.
