**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Oncology **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** 2 years of oncology experience preferred **License:** Must have a valid compact or state license in hand at the time of submission **Certifications:** Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH **Must-Have:** - High acuity PCU patient experience - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Use of rapid response teams - Feeding tube care and management - Accessing Ports - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - Peripheral Line Care/Management - PICC line management - Starting IVs - Heparin Protocols - Manage Cardiac drips- no titration - PCA - Titrate Cardiac drips - Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac - External CPAP/BIPAP - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Interpretation of ABGs - Nasal Cannula - Tracheostomy Management **Job Description:** - Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients, focusing on high acuity of PCU and ICU - Candidates with PCU/ICU experience preferred - May float to Med/Surg units - Infection prevention protocols and patient falls focus - Manage units equipped with B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, Bladder Scanners, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, PCA Pumps - 18J is a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care - Pediatric patients are occasionally present but not a primary responsibility - Flexible scheduling with self-schedule requests allowed; however, no set schedule, weekends, or block schedule - The facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend - Orientation and training with 24 hours and 36 hours with preceptor support during the second week - Strict compliance guidelines and travel compliance requirements - Flu Vaccine Required - Medical Exemptions Only - Professional growth and development opportunities with a comprehensive benefits package - Weekend shifts are variable and staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5 but may vary based on unit needs Please note that this role involves responsibilities that may require flexibility and adaptability in shift scheduling and location.
