Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Call - 8hr 0645-1515 call/0900-1730 once every 5-6 weeks; weekend call every 4th-5th weekend Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Yes Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - 3 years of Ortho/Neuro OR experience - Willingness to float and cross-train to other specialty cases as needed Job Description: - Work in a department with 12 operating rooms, 1 endoscopy suite, and 1 cystoscopy suite. - Handle an average of 25-30 cases per day, including ortho-neuro total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, micro discs, and craniotomies. - Be part of a supportive team with a family-like atmosphere. - Charge Nurse present for all shifts Monday-Friday from 7 AM to 11 PM, and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM; Manager available until 4 PM Monday-Friday. - No requirement for RNs to scrub. - Utilize EMR system: EPIC. - Participate in weeknight calls 1-2 times per week (3:15 PM to 6:45 AM), and weekend calls every 3-4 weekends (Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM). - Be flexible with holiday call requirements, rotating with permanent staff. - Maintain a 15-minute call response time; sleep room available for convenience. - Required to float as a 1:1 sitter or assisting hands if necessary, with on-the-day training provided. - Scrub attire provided. - Enjoy 4-5 days of unit-based orientation and 2 buddy call shifts.
