**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Operating Room **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Day, 7 AM - 7 PM **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** 3-5+ years of operating room experience with general, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular procedures. Scrub experience is required. **License:** Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of residence, or licensure requirements meeting the National License Compact (NLC) for primary state of residence. **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required. **Must-Have:** - Some on-call required, with a 30-minute response time. - Ability to communicate in English effectively in all areas of practice. - Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. - Navy blue scrub color **Job Description:** - Collect data pertinent to healthcare consumer's health or situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation. - Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers according to applicable legal or policy parameters. - Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practice in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Collaborate effectively with healthcare consumers and key stakeholders in nursing practice. - Demonstrate leadership in professional practice settings. - Seek knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice and promote futuristic thinking. - Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. - Contribute to quality nursing practice. - Evaluate own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines. - Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Ensure practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Uphold ethical practice standards. - Promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes.
