**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Operating Rooms **Job Specialty:** OR **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 7A-5P, 10-hour Day Shifts **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** 3-5 years preferred; no first-time travelers **License:** RN **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS **Must-Have:** - Experience with case types listed - Familiarity with Cerner or EPIC systems - Scrub experience preferred but not required; will generally be circulating **Job Description:** - Work in operating rooms with a focus on both adult and pediatric cases - Handle a variety of surgeries including general, urology, ENT, OBGYN, and Ortho - Perform endoscopies; experience not required - No robotics or conscious sedation cases needed - Collaborate with a supportive team including supervisors, CRNAs, a physician anesthesiologist, and resource nurses - Participate in room turnovers and on-call rotations - Complete a one-week orientation with a call buddy and manageable shift schedule - Flexibility to float to inpatient areas as a task person/helper without assuming patient assignments - Expectation to be on-call during weekdays and some weekends and holidays (typically every 4th or 5th weekend) - Use hospital-provided surgical scrubs - Orientation includes working five 8-hour shifts in the first week Please note: Expected to be available within a 20-minute response window when on-call.
