--- **Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** PACU - Short Stay **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** 1 year required **License:** OR license required, can submit with it pending **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS **Must-Have:** Epic charting experience **Job Description:** - Monitor and care for patients who are recovering from surgery and require short-term care - Manage patients requiring up to 23-hour observation, especially those not ready for discharge due to issues like uncontrolled pain or inability to urinate, eat, or keep fluids down - Fast-paced environment with a focus on admissions and discharges - Expected patient ratios are 1:3 - No on-call or weekend requirements - Flexibility for floating within hospital or nearby affiliated facilities - Commitment to working 3 out of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day - Completion of non-billable modules pre-start and annually; self-reporting for completion - Orientation includes 40 hours of non-billable time **Additional Information:** - Candidates expected to float between sister facilities as needed - Return staff policy requires 3 months between permanent and travel assignments - Completion of required communication device provided, if necessary, for job duties --- Ensure any requested time off or specific scheduling needs are communicated upfront.
