Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Job Specialty: PACU Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8-Hour Shifts, Days, Monday to Friday with varied start times (Open from 0600-1800) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Emergency License available Certifications: BLS, ACLS; PALS preferred Must-Have: Experience with Meditech EMR Job Description: - Nurses will rotate between Pre-op & PACU and handle recovery phases. - Engage in patient care across multiple specialty cases: General, GYN, Ortho & Sports Medicine, Hand Specialist, Podiatry, Eyes, ENT, & Endoscopy. - Manage and interpret rhythms, respond appropriately to life-threatening situations. - Work in collaboration with Medical Assistants for patient admission and discharge. - Nurses required to handle both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of care. - Ratios include Pre-op (1:2), PACU (1:1, 1:3), Recovery (1:2, 1:3). - Charting system utilized is Meditech, with a combination of Meditech and paper charting in certain areas. - Scrubs are provided; adhere to the dress code. - Participate in general orientation, a scavenger hunt, and spend 1-2 days with a preceptor, with an assigned buddy for support until comfortable. - Flexibility is required to help fill scheduling gaps as needed. Additional Notes: - No weeknight, weekend, or holiday call requirements. - Manager and charge nurse support available on each shift.
