Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 8-hour evening shifts, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday-Saturday, with rotating night, weekend, and holiday call Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience in phase 1 recovery Job Description: - Provide nursing care for patients recovering from surgical procedures. - Monitor patient vital signs and ensure stability during the recovery process. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. - Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth recovery processes for patients. - Educate patients and families about post-procedure care and discharge instructions. - Participate in rotating night, weekend, and holiday call schedules as required. - Work within a 16-bay unit in a Level 1 Trauma center, caring for patients with cardiothoracic, vascular, ortho, neuro, burn, pediatric, and general surgical needs.
