**Job Title:** Progressive Care Unit Nurse

**Shift:** 12-hour Night Shift
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in the specialty and at least one previous 13-week travel assignment
**License:** Valid nursing license
**Certifications:** BLS and ACLS certification required (must be completed through approved organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or Red Cross)
**Must-Have:** EMR: EPIC experience preferred but not required (on-site training available)
**Job Description:**
- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care.
- Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
- Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.
- Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed and document according to policy.
- Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs upon admission and throughout the care episode.
- Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
- Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
- Must be a flexible team player accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for on-call, weekends, and holidays as required per staff rotation.
Note: Traveler nurses will float within the facility and alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their permanent assigned location. Scrubs are required, not provided by the facility, and should be any solid color, with the top, pant, and jacket (if worn) matching solid color. Please note that no holiday time-off requests will be approved for travelers.
