**Job Description:**
- Work in a newly opened unit focused on high-acuity PCU-level patients.
- Collaborate closely with Neuro Tele and other Telemetry units for team support.
- Manage post-surgical patients with a cardiac focus, including post 24-hour CABG, post CCU cardiac surgeries, high-acuity respiratory cases, and more.
- Handle set-rate cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Heparin.
- Adhere to protocols for non-titratable cardiac gtts with a maximum of two gtts running concurrently.
- Perform vital signs, accuchecks, assist with ADLs, answer call lights, and conduct hourly rounding.
- Utilize Virtual Care Nurses and Respiratory Therapists for assistance with respiratory treatments and equipment.
- Read and interpret telemetry strips and document findings accurately.
- Participate in self-scheduling with the flexibility to fill staffing gaps; block scheduling considered.
- Expectation to work 4-6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period, with specific nights and days requirements.
- May be included in the holiday rotation and asked to go on standby if needed.
- Float to appropriate units such as ER holds, IMCU (Telemetry Patients), Telemetry, and MS based on skillset.
- Dress code requires Navy Blue scrubs.
- Participate in orientation including one day with HR, one day with an educator, and 1-2 shifts with a preceptor.
- Chart using the MEDITECH system.
- Potential cancellation policy up to three times per contract, with pay for full hours possible in lieu of cancellation.
