**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification preferred
**Must-Have:**
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry on-unit monitoring
- Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization
- Peripheral line care and management
- PICC line management
- Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
- Management of vasoactive drips (no titration)
- Procedural sedation administration
- Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Chest tubes (Emerson, Pleur-evac) management
- External CPAP/BIPAP management
- Tracheostomy management
**Job Description:**
- Provide compassionate care to cardiac patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrhythmias, and those undergoing pre and post cardiac catheterization.
- Focus on managing patients with respiratory issues such as COPD and pneumonia, including the use of BIPAP.
- Work within a 30-private bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department, ensuring 24/7 patient care.
- Utilize EPIC for patient documentation.
- Participate in self-assisted scheduling for 6-week periods, aligning with departmental needs and patient care priorities.
- Collaborate with a team that includes nurse assistants available 24/7 and an RN secretary from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
- Use of Rapid Response Teams is preferred.
- Engage in a weekend rotation and holiday shifts as needed.
- Must be willing to float to different campus locations if necessary.
- Complete non-billable modules during orientation.
- Compliance alignment with all required vaccinations, except for valid medical or religious exemptions.
