**License:** Valid RN license in hand at the time of submission.
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS (Required); NIH (Preferred)
**Must-Have:**
- Cardiac PCU experience
- Comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios
- EPIC experience preferred
- Familiarity with the use of Rapid Response Teams
- Ability to float to any campus if needed
**Job Description:**
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring on the unit.
- Provide pre and post cardiac catheterization care.
- Manage peripheral and PICC line care.
- Administer and manage cardiac drips and vasoactive drips, including titration.
- Perform procedural sedation administration.
- Handle chest tubes such as Emerson and Pleur-evac.
- Manage external CPAP/BIPAP and tracheostomies.
- Focus on cardiac patients with conditions like Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrhythmias, and pre/post cardiac catheterization.
- Secondary focus on respiratory issues such as COPD and pneumonia.
- Utilize a self-assisted scheduling system adjusted based on departmental needs, patient work intensity, skill mix, and previous assignments.
- Work within a 30-private bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department that provides continuous care and is remotely monitored by a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department.
- Participate in weekend rotations and holidays as needed.
- Contribute to a supportive team with nurse assistants available 24/7 and RN secretaries from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
