**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Day, 7a-7p

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years, Preferred experience in PCU/CCU

**License:** Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice. For those declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as primary residency, meet the licensure requirements in the home state.

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:** Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association.

**Job Description:**

- Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
- Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with legal or policy parameters.
- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.

- Collaborates with healthcare consumers and other stakeholders in nursing practice.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must speak understandable English and possess intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
- Critical thinking and concentration are essential. Must respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

**Schedule Notes:**
- Required to work during shifts that may include Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, one out of New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, but not Halloween.
- Navy blue scrubs are required.

**Education:** Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

**Language:** Proficient in English (Speak, Read, Write)
