**Must-Have:**
- EKG tele competency assessment passed before starting
- Ventilator experience
- EPIC experience
- Must be able to read and interpret strips
**Job Description:**
- Applicants must show some experience with a 1:5 nurse-patient ratio in Step Down or Progressive Care Unit.
- ICU experience does not count toward Step Down/Progressive Care Unit experience.
- Engage in a trial team nursing model, partnering with another nurse and PCT to improve workload and patient care.
- Work either 36 or 48 hours per week with targeted patient ratios of 1:4, but they can be up to 1:5-6.
- Must be fitted for N95 prior to working on high-risk respiratory units unless PAPR is needed.
- Be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
- Must have experience with telemetry, medication drips, and ventilators.
- Patient population includes those with COPD, CHF, Pneumonia, Flu, Sepsis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and Post-COVID.
- Support includes working with tracheostomy, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-oxygen requirements.
- The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census within the contract terms.
- Travel nurses will float according to medically appropriate assignments.
**Additional Information:**
- Flu vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
- Navy blue scrubs are worn.
- Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application.
- Up to 24 hours of onboarding modules are required, typically completed during orientation.
This role is for candidates within a 50-mile radius, and local candidates for emergency and inpatient nursing are considered separately.
