**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit

**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Thoracic Vascular Care

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 1-year experience required

**License:** WA or Compact RN license required

**Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS

**Must-Have:** EPIC charting experience

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 32-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) caring for patients with diverse medical needs.
- Provide care for patients recovering from procedures such as Lobectomy, Pneumectomy, Esophagectomy, and various Vascular interventions like Carotid Endarterectomy and Endovascular Graphs.
- Manage patients with conditions requiring TAVR, Tracheostomy, BiPap, HFNC, COVID-19 treatment, and care for multi-organ Sepsis.
- Collaborate with certified nursing assistants who assist in patient care.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:3-4.
- Work in a fast-paced environment that encourages critical thinking and flexibility.
- Excellent teamwork and support from preceptors and charge nurses to ease new caregivers into the role.
- Must be open to floating between like units based on the hospital's needs.
- Participate in 40 hours of orientation, with modules completed pre-start and annually.
