**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Straight days (3x12s)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years
**License:** Registered Nurse license (unencumbered), temporary RN license accepted prior to start; ND RN Graduate Work Authorization considered prior to start
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of start
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) preferred
**Must-Have:** The RN Graduate Work Authorization is valid for up to 90 days after issue or upon notification of the NCLEX results, whichever occurs first.
**Job Description:**
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies.
- Maintain knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients based on age.
- Facilitate the coordination of patient care within the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide patient education to ensure safe discharge.
- Perform daily rounds on all patients to ensure quality service.
- Develop and implement a care plan based on the patient's needs.
- Assess patient conditions, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions.
- Identify early warning signs of patient condition changes and respond appropriately.
- Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.
- Report important observations and reactions regarding patients accurately.
- Maintain communication and educational opportunities with patients and significant individuals.
- Begin discharge planning, education, and counseling as early as possible.
- Assign or delegate nursing interventions within scope of practice and competence.
- Complete incident reports (patient, visitor, staff) before shift completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet department/organization needs.
