**Job Description:**
- Work in a 40-bed unit with an average daily census of 24 patients.
- Patient ratios range from 1:4-5, both during day and night shifts.
- Provide care for adult patients with diagnoses such as cardiac, med/surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular issues, sepsis, respiratory ailments, stroke, post-stent and pacer placement, and renal failure.
- RNs are required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.
- Serve in a unit where a charge nurse is present on each shift and does take on assignments.
- Work alongside nurse aides/patient care techs, with a ratio of 1:12.
- Manage high flow RT equipment and be responsible for troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret Tele/Monitor strips.
- Utilize Smart Square online scheduling for shifts, with weekend work required every third weekend and rotational holiday requirements.
- Must be willing to float to MedSurg or ICU for PCU acuity patients.
- Follow a dress code of navy blue scrubs.
- Participate in a 1-week unit/department-specific orientation.
- Utilize equipment such as overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners.
- Focus on enhancing patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and communication about medications.
