**Job Description:**

- Nursing responsibilities in a Progressive Care Unit with 40 beds and an average census of 24 patients.
- Care for adults with various conditions including cardiac, med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular disorders, sepsis, respiratory issues, stroke, post-stent and pacer placements, and renal failure.
- Required to manage and titrate drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.
- Work with respiratory equipment, primarily high flow, and interpret telemetry strips.
- Collaborate with a Charge Nurse and nurse aides/patient care techs, with a 1:12 tech-to-patient ratio.
- Adapt to floating to Med-Surg or ICU for providing PCU-level care.
- Maintain weekend shift rotation every third weekend and holiday rotation with permanent staff.
- Wear navy blue scrubs as per dress code.
- Participate in one week of unit-specific orientation.
- Emphasize patient experience, responsiveness, communication about medications, and adaptability to feedback.
- Serve diverse cultural populations; being a team player is essential.
- Use EPIC charting system.
