**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

**Job Duration:** 14 Weeks

**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

**Guaranteed Hours:**

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years in specialty required, except for the surgical intensive care unit (SICU)

**License:** Compact or KY State License required

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS and Telemetry experience required

**Must-Have:**
- Level 1-2 trauma experience required
- Trauma/general surgery post-op patient experience
- Experience with abdominal surgeries
- Skills in managing Foley catheters, surgical drains, surgical oncology, wound vacs, ostomy, ports and PICCs, TPN and lipids

**Job Description:**
- Acute progressive unit focusing on post-operative trauma and GI patients
- Open to considering first-time travelers with relevant Level 1 trauma experience
- Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Orientation includes 8 non-billable hours
- PACU call policy includes a response time of 1 hour; call hours during weekdays are 8PM-6AM, with weekends divided into two shifts
- Team will be responsible for recovering patients in main PACU post-surgery
- Anticipated on-call frequency is 2-3 shifts per schedule period (6 weeks)
- Completion of modules during orientation and annually, specific to specialty
