**License:** Kentucky RN License
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
**Must-Have:**
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring
- IV therapy skills, including PICC line management, dressing changes
- Administering IV medications such as antibiotics, drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, cardizem
- Tracheostomy management
- Intermediate/step-down experience
**Job Description:**
- Work in a pulmonary intermediate care unit with responsibilities including patient care and monitoring
- Manage and operate equipment such as BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, and telemetry monitoring, with occasional cardiac drips
- Provide care for a mixed patient population on a 21-bed unit
- Maintain patient ratios from 4:1 up to 5:1, and 3:1 for BiPAP teams
- Utilize Cerner for Electronic Medical Records documentation
- Exhibit flexibility regarding patient assignments and floating to other units as needed
- Work every other weekend with no call requirements
- Have a positive attitude and an ability to manage stressful situations effectively
- Wear Galaxy Blue scrub tops with blue or black bottoms
**Preferred Skills/Experience:**
- Proficiency with BiPAPs and high-flow oxygen
- Experience with chest tubes and pulmonary disease management
