**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Neurosciences Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years. ICU experience is required. Neurosurgery experience preferred.

**License:** Must have a valid nursing license from the primary state of residence or a compact license.

**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified through the American Heart Association.

**Must-Have:**
- Basic Arrhythmia experience.
- Ability to pass a Telemetry test prior to start.

**Job Description:**

- Work in a recently renovated 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit.
- Care for adult patients with conditions such as ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases.
- Utilize strong critical thinking skills to provide care interventions, including vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, and frequent assessments.
- Collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team of nurses.
- Opportunity to support both Intermediate Care (IMC) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) levels of care.
- Be willing to work with both ICU and IMC patient populations.
- Comply with the facility's float requirements, potentially working in different units based on staffing needs.
- Participate in an orientation program typically lasting one week.

Candidates must maintain a permanent address that is at least 50 miles from the primary work site.
