**Job Description:**

- Nurses will primarily care for patients with conditions such as:
- Heart failure
- Dysrhythmias (e.g., atrial fibrillation, SVT, bradycardia, heart block)
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Syncope
- Coronary angiography/PCI
- Device (pacemaker, ICD) implant
- Peripheral vascular interventions (e.g., fibrinolytics)
- Amputations
- Fem-pop bypass
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Respiratory distress
- Manage moderate- and high-flow oxygen
- COVID-19
- Sepsis
- DKA/HHS
- Alcohol/opioid withdrawal
- GI bleed
- Electrolyte disturbances
- End-stage renal disease
- The unit consists of 41-50 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5.
- Charting is done using the EPIC system.
- Nurses should wear royal blue scrubs.
- Floating support areas depend on the contract and may include the HVU only or a mobile unit.
- Special procedures include TR-band weaning, terminal weaning of oxygen, and assisting with bedside thoracentesis.
- Virtual interviews will be conducted, followed by auto-offers.
- Candidates should be within a 60-mile radius, with locals facing a 10% rate reduction.
