**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** 1 year of experience

**License:** Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)

**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support (CPR) issued by the American Heart Association

**Must-Have:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Some computer skills

**Job Description:**

- Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and perform minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary
- Administer medication as prescribed, and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
- Deliver patient care competently
- Interact with family and patients to share care plans during hospital stay and at discharge
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegate tasks to support staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
