**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** 1 year required
**License:** Current RN License from appropriate state board or a valid multistate compact RN License
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (CPR) issued by the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
**Must-Have:** Stepdown or Medsurg experience

**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care to a diverse group of patients with varying health conditions ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients; observe physiological manifestations and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed, and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently and interact professionally with patients and their families to share care plans.
- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures and make referrals concerning patient care needs.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Required Education:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

**Preferred Education:**
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a board-approved program
