**Experience:** 1 Year of Experience
**License:** Current RN License, Multistate Compact RN License (eNLC)
**Certifications:** BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
**Must-Have:** Associate's Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Program
**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients; observe physiological manifestations of patients and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently.
- Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospital stays and at discharge.
- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Skills & Experience:**
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Some computer skills.
**Preferred Education:** Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.
