**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Nights, 3x12 Hour Shifts

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience

**License:** Current RN License from State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)

**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association

**Must-Have:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills

**Job Description:**

- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and perform minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe manifestations, and intervene when necessary
- Administer medication and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
- Deliver patient care competently
- Interact with family and patients to share care plans during hospital stay and discharge
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegate tasks to support staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
