**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Nights 3x12 Hour
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 Year of Experience
**License:** Current RN License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License)
**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
**Must-Have:** Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing any manifestations and intervening when necessary.
- Administer medication and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care.
- Interact with patients and families to share the care plan while in the hospital and upon discharge.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Some computer skills.
**Preferred Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program.
