**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Shift:** Night Shifts (3x12 Hr)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 Year Required
**License:** Current RN License or Multistate Compact RN License
**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
**Must-Have:** Oncology Experience
**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, and note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians during the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing physiological manifestations and intervening when necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care.
- Interact with patients and their families to share the care plan during hospital stays and at the time of discharge.
- Inform patients and their families about hospital procedures.
- Make referrals concerning patient care needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Preferred Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program
**Skills:**
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Some computer proficiency is required.
