**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Nights, 3x12-hour shifts

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience

**License:** Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).

**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association

**Must-Have:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Some computer skills

**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care under general supervision to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently.
- Interact with family and patient in sharing care plans while hospitalized and during discharge.
- Inform patient and family of hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
