**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** PCU RN - Med Specialty Step Down

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Nights, 3x12 Hr Shifts

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role

**License:** Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)

**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association

**Must-Have:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Some computer skills

**Job Description:**

- Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with various health issues, from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing and intervening in physiological manifestations when necessary.
- Administer prescribed medication, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care.
- Interact with family and patients to share the care plan during the hospital stay and discharge.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
