**Certifications:** BCLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred

**Must-Have:** EPIC charting experience

**Job Description:**

- Work in a Clinical Decision "Observation" Unit, specializing in care for patients requiring close monitoring.
- Manage patient ratios of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 during night shifts.
- Provide nursing care for patients with conditions such as observation, general medical, post-op PCI, general and gynecological surgery, GI bleed, SBO, ESRD, CHF, COPD, chronic bi-pap/c-pap, stable CIWA.
- Handle limited isolation cases, not involving chemo, peritoneal dialysis, acute bi-pap, hemodynamically unstable pre-op, or post-op requiring step-down level of care.
- Float between various units as needed, within your skill set.
- Full orientation provided - 40 hours.
- Participate in every other weekend coverage schedule.
- Commitment to working 3 out of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) is required.
- Must maintain open communication regarding any background or licensing issues prior to assignment.
