**Must-Have:** ICU experience is required and CVICU experience is preferred.

**Job Description:**

- Work in the Heart and Vascular Institute with varying levels of care: ICU, PCU, Med Surg for cardiac and vascular patients.
- Care for cardiac and vascular patient populations, including post-operative recovery and post-procedure patients from the cath lab.
- Provide care for stroke-designated patients and manage conditions such as CHF.
- Handle medical equipment and treatments including Impella, balloon pump, ventilators, BIPAP, CPAP, and administer various cardiac medications for blood pressure management like amiodarone, nitroglycerin, nicardipine, epinephrine, cardizem, etc.
- Required to pass an open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or above during orientation.
- Manage patient ratios that vary depending on acuity: 1:2 for ICU, 1:4 for PCU, and 1:5 for med surg.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system.
- Follow cyclic staff scheduling and wear navy scrubs.
- Flexible scheduling is desired; candidates will work with the scheduler upon reporting.

Candidates must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an exemption status, and any request for time off (up to 7 days) must be submitted upfront. Block scheduling is not offered, and interviews are generally not conducted due to an auto-offer process based on profile.
