**Job Description:**

- Engage in post-operative recovery of cardiac and vascular patients and those from the cath lab.
- Manage a cardiac and vascular patient population, including stroke patients, CHF, and other related diagnoses.
- Operate and manage medical devices such as Impella, balloon pump, ventilators, BIPAP, CPAP.
- Administer and monitor cardiac medications like amiodarone, nitroglycerin, nicardipine, epinephrine, and diltiazem.
- Perform EKG exams and monitor patient heart rhythms.
- Provide care in a variety of settings: ICU (1:2 ratio), PCU (1:4 ratio), and Med-Surg (1:5 ratio).
- Be prepared for a pass/fail skills exam during orientation, with a 90% needed to pass.
- Participate in cyclic staff scheduling and maintain flexibility as a traveler.
- Chart patient information using the EPIC system.
- Wear navy scrubs in the unit.
