**Job Description:**

- Care for patients in a mixed unit of PCU, Med Surg, and Oncology.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in PCU and 1:5 in Med Surg during day shifts; 1 RN to 5-6 patients during night shifts.
- Participate in a two-day orientation.
- Titrate drips such as insulin and occasionally cardizem.
- Utilize RT equipment available on the floor.
- Float between med/surg and PCU units as needed.
- Collaborate with additional unit support staff, including PT/OT, RN case manager, social work, educator, and dietician.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix.
- Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience.
- Exhibit teamwork and cultural sensitivity in the care setting.
- Work every third weekend and self-schedule shifts.
- Utilize EMR system EPIC with Alaris IV Pumps.
- Engage in real-time training for ventilator management and other hemodynamic monitoring.
- Show a genuine need to care for patients, maintain a positive attitude, and foster teamwork.
