**Job Description:**

- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the 4th Floor East Wing
- Provide care for a patient population consisting of adults and pediatrics
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 during night shifts
- Offer support in self-scheduling and cyclic scheduling with weekend requirements every third weekend
- Adhere to dress code with navy blue scrubs for RNs and ceil blue for CNAs
- Provide nursing assistance with support from charge nurse and additional unit staff, including educators, care managers, social workers, dieticians, PT, and OT
- Manage common patient diagnoses such as CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma, and weakness
- Utilize PCA pumps for pain management and administer medications like cardizem and insulin
- Use Alaris IV pumps and ensure competency in operating telemetry monitoring
- Document patient care using the EPIC charting system
- Engage in patient experience improvements through hourly rounding and responsiveness
- Be flexible with floating to Medical-Surgical areas based on unit needs
- Demonstrate qualities such as teamwork and efficient management of daily tasks in a supportive, tight-knit team environment
