**Job Description:**

- Work in a 35-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Care for adults and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, and those requiring continuous EEG monitoring.
- Responsible for titrating drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5.
- Support available from charge nurses, who also take assignments.
- Support staff includes nurse aides or patient care techs with a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20.
- Shifts include 12-hour night rotations from 1830-0700.
- Weekend work required every third week with a cyclic rotation.
- Holiday work required every third holiday.
- No on-call or standby requirements.
- May float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab when needed.
- Onboarding includes the first week of general orientation, followed by 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a team-focused atmosphere.
