TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Progressive Care - Stepdown Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights, Every Other Weekend Nights, Holiday Rotation Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of PCU experience License: Active and in good standing state nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 1 year ICU and/or CVICU experience (preferred) - EKG knowledge skills - IV Cardiac Medication administration Job Description: - Provide acute care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and surgical services. - Utilize equipment such as Philips Cardiac Monitors, Telemetry, Welch Allyn Vital Signs Monitors, Invasive monitoring, Medtronic Pacemakers, Cerner EMR, Pyxis Med Dispenser, Zoll R Series, Sigma Spectrum IV Pumps, and Mistral Air Warming Units. - Possess skills in peritoneal dialysis, chronic vents, chest tubes, epidural catheters, PCA pumps, transvenous pacing, arterial or venous sheath pulling/care. - Work schedule includes 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, 3 shifts per week required; option for additional shifts available upon discussion. - Opportunity to float to ICU and/or CVICU, where basic critical care skills such as arterial lines and sheath pulls are preferred. - Handle fast-paced cardiac and cardiac surgery care including patients from cath lab with or without intervention, 2-3 days post-open heart surgery, STEMI and NSTEMI cases, chronic vents, alcohol withdrawal, suicidal ideation, new BiPAP or CPAP patients, thoracotomies, and renal disease. - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 RN to 3-4 PCU patients, depending on acuity. - Adhere to dress code: Scrubs, no black/camo attire, business-appropriate hair color. - Participate in a unit-specific training and orientation program. 26156664EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
