**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Shift:** Mid Shifts, 3x12 Hour Shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum of One (1) Year of Nursing Experience
**License:** Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate state
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
**Must-Have:** Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
**Job Description:**
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participate in identifying and meeting personal learning needs; attend education programs.
- Use patient education materials relevant to patient population.
- Assess readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers and developmental level affecting ability to learn.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance in revising care plans as needed.
- Engage with interdisciplinary team for evaluation of patient care to ensure continuity.
- Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, covering physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
- Perform bedside point of care testing as required by the patient care plan.
- Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in delivering care.
- Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs and consult appropriate resources for complex care planning.
- Develop goals to promote professional growth and work towards achieving them.
- Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Promote cost-effective care, give feedback to co-workers, and ensure a safe, clean, secure hospital environment.
- Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities, assess physical, psychosocial, education, and safety needs.
- Synthesize assessment data before communicating to others and anticipate discharge needs of patients and families.
- Collaboratively prepare/update care plans with patient/family and make use of multidisciplinary resources.
- Address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care and prioritize tasks for complex patient problems.
- Read relevant journals and bring ideas/questions to the staff for practice improvement.
