**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Shift:** Nights, 3x12 Hr
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** One (1) year of nursing experience
**License:** Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
- Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
**Job Description:**
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participate in identifying and meeting personal learning needs; attend education programs based on identified needs.
- Use patient education materials relevant to patient population; assess readiness and developmental level for learning.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance for revising care plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary discussions to evaluate patient care; communicate relevant information for continuity of care.
- Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required, utilizing healthcare organization and nursing standards.
- Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs; consult appropriate resources for complex care issues.
- Develop goals for professional growth and participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Promote cost-effective care, provide feedback to co-workers, and support a safe and secure hospital environment.
- Recognize data from complex situations to prioritize care and assess discharge needs of patients and families.
- Collaborate with patients/families to prepare or update care plans, utilizing multidisciplinary resources.
- Address cultural and ethnic issues in patient care planning; prioritize tasks for patients with complex problems.
- Engage with research by reading relevant journals and contribute ideas and questions to staff for practice assessment.
**Preferred Education:**
- BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing
