**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12 Hour Nights

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU or Telemetry; preference given to candidates with more than 1.5 years of experience.

**License:** Registered Nurse License

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS

**Must-Have:**
- ICU RN qualified to float to the Emergency Department
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration experience
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- Proficient in CIWA, drain/tube management
- Indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management
- Insulin drips (DKA and non-DKA)
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Chest tube maintenance

**Job Description:**
- Provide care to adults with a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, ARF, hepatitis, ESLD, DM, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed, syncope, chest pain, pulmonary embolism, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, seizure disorders, overdose, and delirium tremors.
- Maintain patient ratios of - 1:4 and Med/Surg 1:5.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, including LPNs and CNAs, in a team nursing model.
- Perform thorough physical assessments and demonstrate strong clinical judgment.
- Exhibit professional bedside manner and a positive attitude.
- Use EPIC charting system for documentation (preferred).
- Communicate with providers using paging system and secure chat.
- Participate in floating to Adult Inpatient Units as required.
- Engage in a structured orientation program, including classroom and shadow shifts.
- Participate in weekend rotations and holiday shifts as per scheduling requirements.
- Ensure compliance with facility protocols, including monthly audits for pain scoring.
