**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
**Must-Have:**
- Qualified to float to associated departments if necessary
- Experience in cardiac and vasoactive drip titration (require approval if not experienced)
- Comfortability working alongside Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in a team nursing model
**Job Description:**
- Provide care for adults with various diagnoses including CHF, ARF, hepatitis, ESLD, DM, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed, syncope, chest pain, pulmonary emboli, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, and more.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for PCU/Tele and 1:5 for Med/Surg, both during day and night shifts.
- Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, blood product administration, and manage various drains/tubes.
- Manage insulin drips, continuous bladder irrigation, and chest tube maintenance.
- Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills, and perform thorough physical assessments.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and professional bedside manner.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude and adaptability.
- Participate in a staffing model that pairs RNs with LPNs, ensuring a positive experience through task-swapping within scope of practice.
- Utilize Epic charting system (Epic experience preferred) and work with Alaris and Omnicell equipment.
- Support provided includes CNA assistance with a ratio of 1:8, two charge nurses, available phlebotomy, and a resource nurse for flexibility in staffing.
- Engage in a weekend rotation every other weekend or 50% of weekends per 4-week schedule.
- Holiday work minimum requirement includes every other holiday during the contracted timeframe.
- Attend orientation that includes two days of in-class/online education followed by two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor.
