**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing approved

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS

**Must-Have:**
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- CIWA

**Job Description:**

- Provide care for adults with a variety of diagnoses including CHF, ARF, hepatitis, ESLD, DM, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed, syncope, chest pain, pulmonary embolism, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, seizure disorders, overdose, and delirium tremors.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for PCU/Tele and 1:5 for Med/Surg during all shifts.
- Perform drain/tube management, indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management, insulin drips, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and demonstrate strong clinical judgement.
- Exhibit a professional bedside manner, strong team player abilities, positive attitude, and adaptability.
- Comfortable working alongside an LPN with task swapping due to scope.
- Support on the unit includes CNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy, resource nurse, RT, hospitalist, and more.
- Use the Epic charting system and other equipment such as Alaris and Omnicell.
- Possibility of floating to adult inpatient units as needed.
- Participate in a two-day orientation and two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor.
- Weekend rotation required every other or 50% weekends per 4-week schedule.
- Holiday expectations include working every other holiday during the contracted timeframe.
- Compliance with monthly audits for pre/post pain scoring.
- Wear navy blue scrubs.
