**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - PCU

**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 1.5 years of general nursing experience

**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:** BSN required; PCU level RN experience

**Job Description:**

- This is a float pool position, requiring flexibility to work across various units within the facility that are within or below your scope of practice.
- Willingness to float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units is essential.
- Previous float pool experience and at least 2 years of experience required for first-time travelers; otherwise, travel experience is necessary.
- Manage intermediate care patients, including those with diagnoses such as orthopedics, neuro, surgical, medical, oncology, and heart and vascular conditions.
- Engage in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, blood product administration, and the management of various drain/tubes.
- Experience with titration of common drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine, Insulin is required. Candidate comfort level with these should be confirmed.
- Support on the unit includes CNAs, charge nurses, and round-the-clock phlebotomy and respiratory therapy services.
- Utilize the Epic charting system; prior experience with this system is preferred.
- Required to work every other weekend and holiday, with specific time-off restrictions during certain annual events.
- Adhere to a navy-blue scrub dress code.
