**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
**Must-Have:**
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration experience
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- CIWA
- Drain/tube management
- Indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management
- Insulin drips (DKA and non-DKA)
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Chest tube maintenance
- Effective communication skills
**Job Description:**
- Care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to CHF, ARF, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, sepsis, and more.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 for PCU/Tele and 1:5 for Med/Surg during both day and night shifts.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Work alongside an LPN using a team nursing model to optimize patient care.
- Attend a 2-day orientation with additional preceptor-led shifts.
- Function as a resource nurse and support unit staff in tasks such as admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Participate in weekend rotations and holiday coverage as per scheduling norms.
- Float to various units based on expertise and requirements, contributing to the care of adults in Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular, Oncology, ICU, and Observation units when needed.
- Utilize electronic medical records systems to chart patient care and communicate with providers through secure methods.
- Adhere to compliance standards for Pre/Post Pain Scoring audits.
**Additional Notes:**
- Comfortable with task swapping within RN-LPN team settings.
- Support available from charge nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain compliance with professional bedside manner, thorough physical assessments, and strong clinical judgment.
