**License:** Registered Nurse - South Dakota Board of Nursing

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS

**Must-Have:** Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, blood product administration, CIWA, drain/tube management, catheter insertion/management, insulin drips, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance, effective communication skills, thorough physical assessments, strong clinical judgment, professional bedside manner, team player, positive attitude, and adaptability.

**Job Description:**

- Care for adults with various diagnoses including CHF, ARF, hepatitis, ESLD, DM, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed, syncope, chest pain, pulmonary emboli, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, seizure disorders, overdose, and delirium tremens.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 for PCU/Tele and 1:5 for Med/Surg.
- Work collaboratively with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, resource nurses, RT, and hospitalists.
- Utilize the Epic charting system, Alaris, and Omnicell for patient care.
- Participate in a team nursing model, working alongside LPNs.
- Potentially float to Adult Inpatient Units within scope of practice.
- Participate in 2 days of orientation with additional shifts under a preceptor.
- Follow the weekend rotation schedule, working every other or 50% of weekends in a 4-week cycle.
- Comply with monthly audits for Pre/Post Pain Scoring, maintaining at least 90% compliance.
- Wear navy blue scrubs as standard attire.
