Must-Have:
- Experience in ICU stepdown or PCU unit
- Arterial and CVP pressure lines
- Titrating pressors, precedex
- Trach & stable vented patients

Job Description:
- Work in a stepdown unit from the ICU with a 3:1 nurse-patient ratio for closer monitoring of patients transitioning from the ICU.
- Care for patients with common diagnoses such as stepdown patients from ICU, TBI/trauma, major surgery, CEA, and sepsis.
- Perform titration of drips like Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, and levophed.
- Collaborate with one nurse aid, typically for all 14 beds.
- Work 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 am/pm, with schedules made initially 2-3 weeks in advance, allowing for self-scheduling.
- Meet weekend requirements with four weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.
- Participate in holiday rotations as part of the permanent staff.
- Be the first to float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units as needed.
- Follow navy blue scrub color/dress code for the unit.
- Undergo one shift of unit-specific orientation.
- Adhere to hospital's cancellation policy which allows up to three cancellations per contract.
- Use Cerner charting system.
- Engage with a very busy unit, focusing on patient experience, understanding HCAHPS, and core measures.
- Be self-motivated, team-oriented, and invested in the unit's mission and values, joining a close-knit and traveler-friendly team.

Note: The facility is open to first-time travelers.
