**Job Description:**

- Work within a Cardiac Stepdown Unit with 18 beds
- Be part of a team composed of 38 staff members
- Night shifts include 5 nurses and 1 patient care technician
- Maintain patient ratios of 4:1
- Operate equipment including central lines, PCA, Foley catheters, chest tubes, pacer wires, telemetry, and drains
- Utilize EMR system Meditech
- Manage and administer cardiac drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, and nitro
- Perform procedures including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, Mitral clip, thoracotomy, Afib, CHF, and MI
- Conduct vital sign checks and assessments every 4 hours
- Interpret cardiac rhythms every 4 hours
- Float to Telemetry and Med-Surg areas as needed
- Wear all navy scrubs as part of the dress code
- Work every other weekend; additional days may be available
